Required Qualifications: (as evidenced by an attached resume) Bachelor's Degree (foreign equivalent or higher). Five (5) years of experience scheduling / managing a fleet in a research and academic environment. Demonstrated knowledge of policies and procedures related to environmental health and safety. Experience on a vessel. Experience serving on searches at Stony Brook University. Must have, keep and maintain the appropriate valid NYS Driver's License; have a motor vehicle record which is free from major violations or a pattern of repeat violations.

Brief Description of Duties: The Project Support Specialist will report directly to the Dean of the School of Marine and Atmospheric Sciences and will be charged with staffing and keeping the R/V Seawolf operational during a critical period. This position will be roughly five (5) hours per week and is expected to be a short-term position (one year or less). Responsibilities will include:
- Serve on a search committee to replace the former Port Captain with a Fleet Manager, which is crucial to the continued operation of a growing SoMAS fleet.
- Serve as deckhand as needed to keep vessels operational during a critical period.
- Other duties as assigned.
