Project Technician Tier IBUSINESS UNIT: ConstructEDGE FUNCTION: Service REPORTS TO: Director of Operations CLASSIFICATION: ExemptLOCATION: Cedar Rapids, IAEDUCATION: Associate degree in IT, or equivalent experience EXPERIENCE: 1 - 3+ Years Experience Who We Are Looking For We are searching for a motivated and experienced Project Technician Tier I to join our team at ConstructEDGE. This role will be critical in the successful implementation and delivery of services to our clients in the field, working hands in provision and preparing equipment to be deployed. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skillset, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross functional teams to drive business growth.What You will Accomplish and Experience

• Assist in deployment and configuration of services
• Assist any maintenance/upgrade needed per project specification
• Provision equipment in preparation for project implementations
• Escalating complex configurations to Tier II when unable to solve
• Partner with field technicians on installation of equipment to ensure successful implementation
• Diagnose and resolve technical issues during implementation, escalating any issues to Tier II when unable to resolve
• Maintain detailed project documentation, including system configuration, changes and troubleshooting steps
• Provide clear and concise updates to Project Managers on status, challenges and resources needed
• Display financial awareness in decision making, pertaining to project and service coordination
• Provide feedback to improve internal processes and project workflows
• Stay updated on emerging technologies, tools, and best practices relevant to IT and telecom projects.
• Perform on-call responsibilities as needed, which may include nights, weekends and holidays

Desirable Previous Experience

• Strong Understanding in network setup and troubleshooting (LAN/WAN, switches, routers, firewalls)
• Experience with server configuration, virtualization, and storage solutions
• Familiarity with VoIP, cloud services, and security protocols is a plus
• CompTIA Network+, A+, or Security+
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities
