THE COMPANY Staccato Ammunition was founded in 2021, primarily focusing on producing ammunition and ammunition-related components for the firearms industry. Staccato Ammo is building a world-class engineering and manufacturing team that includes designing, manufacturing, testing, and commercializing top-quality ammunition components that complement its high-quality customer base. Headquartered in Florence, Texas, adjacent to Staccato 2011 at a brand-new facility, Staccato Ammo will focus on cold heading, metal stamping, CNC turning, and assembly. Staccato Ammunition will leverage its team of extraordinary people as the competitive advantage to deliver the best in American ingenuity and manufacturing. THE POSITION We seek a Projectile Line Operator to join our hard-charging and fast-growing team. Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager, the Projectile Line Operator will serve as the subject matter expert for the Projectile Manufacturing Line machinery, executing the production of high-quality projectiles. This role will be pivotal in the start-up and growth of a ground-up company. Staccato Ammunition's Projectile/Bullet line will utilize the US Baird Transfer Press. You will learn and become responsible for the operations and maintenance of the auxiliary machinery, such as the lead headers, wash stations, and automated inspection stations. RequirementsJOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES In addition to the responsibilities listed above, the successful candidate for this role will lead product design through the following:
  • Support the development of the company's SOPs.
  • Maintain a safe work environment.
  • Work with supervisors and members of management to ensure smooth operations.
  • Understand and meet/exceed set departmental production and efficiency targets.
  • Complete maintenance reporting paperwork and other reporting as required.
  • Identify, resolve, and report machinery and process issues.
  • Identify, resolve, and report employee safety issues or concerns
  • Resolve conflicts and problems in a professional, respectful manner.
  • Ensure that all company policies, rules, and regulations are followed.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of machine operations and aid in machine set-ups and troubleshooting when necessary.
  • Daily communications with peers and management on the pulse of the department.
  • Use of firearms for quality control testing purposes.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience operating metal stamping/transfer press operation.
  • Experience in maintenance and production in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with ISO 9001:2015 or proven track record of success using LEAN principles.
  • Able to physically lift 40+ pounds repeatedly over an extended period each day.
