This is a permanent role in the Mortgage industry, offering an exciting opportunity to oversee and manage all aspects of property accounting. The successful candidate will have a strong background in property accounting and extensive experience in Yardi or an equivalent property management software. They will also have at least 5+ years of experience in a similar role, demonstrating a strong understanding of the financial landscape in the property market.Responsibilities:As a Property Accounting Manager, you will:1. Oversee and manage all aspects of property accounting to ensure accurate and timely dissemination of financial management reports including, but not limited to, internal and external monthly financial statements, and annual audits and annual budgets.2. Work closely with property managers and senior management to provide financial insights and recommendations.3. Review and approve all Balance Sheet and Income Statement accounts created by the property accountants during the monthly close process.4. Implement and enforce company policies and procedures for property accounting.5. Coordinate and complete annual audits and provide recommendations for procedural improvements.6. Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department including accounts payable/receivable, cash receipts, general ledger, payroll and utilities, treasury, budgeting, cash forecasting, revenue and expenditure variance analysis.7. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.8. Use Yardi or equivalent property management software to manage property accounts and provide detailed reports.Qualifications:1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in property accounting with a strong understanding of the financial landscape in the property market.3. Extensive experience with Yardi or equivalent property management software.4. Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).5. Proven managerial skills with the ability to lead a diverse team.6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to communicate complex financial data to non-financial colleagues.7. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.8. High level of integrity, dependability, and confidentiality.9. Advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.10.
