Company Description The Housing Authority of the City of Shreveport (HACS) provides quality affordable housing to low-income families and individuals through the effective and efficient administration of housing assistance programs. - Manages and assists with the application process for Public Housing:
- Determines eligibility criteria such as family income and conducts income verifications.
- Approves applications for residency and lease agreements based on collected data.
- Orients new residents on Housing Authority practices and HUD guidelines.
- Manages and assists with the rental program:
- Ensures eligibility following Housing Authority and HUD guidelines.
- Enforces lease terms, collects rent, and handles resident notices.
- Monitors delinquencies, initiates court actions, and resolves complaints.
- Coordinates residents' services:
- Investigates complaints and disturbances.
- Shows apartments to prospective residents.
- Coordinates community center activities.
- Performs interviews and in-house inspections:
- Conducts interim/annual re-certifications with residents.
- Ensures compliance with HUD rules and Housing Authority policies.
- Manages maintenance staff:
- Ensures completion of work orders for repairs and grounds maintenance.
- Conducts inspections to determine necessary repairs and maintenance.
- Maintains liaison with law enforcement and social service agencies.
- Prepares criminal check documents and processes returns.
QualificationsQUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:•Four (4) to six (6) years of successful experience in property management. •Bachelor's Degree preferred but not required. COMPENSATION/BENEFITS: •Starting Salary: $62,000 (based on qualifications and experience) •Health, dental, vision and life insurance
