Our client is a fast-growing property management firm that specializes in affordable housing. They are currently seeking a Property Manager to oversee a handful of buildings in the Bronx.

Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with maintenance team to handle work order requests, including inputting them into Yardi, assigning tasks, tracking progress, and following up to confirm resident satisfaction.
- Ensure timely collection and completion of annual resident certifications.
- Monitor and address all property violations (HPD, DOB, FDNY) and work closely with the maintenance team and senior management to resolve issues
- Process new resident move-in applications.
- Enforce company policies on rent collection, lease violations, and delinquencies. Handle eviction procedures in compliance with Federal, State, and local regulations.
- Oversee resident move-ins and move-outs, conducting all related unit inspections. Prepare move-out reports, assess damages, and determine applicable fees for accounting purposes.
- Maintain accurate and organized resident and property records.
- Manage rent collection and financial transactions, including scanning payments into Yardi and handling bank deposits.
- Conduct routine inspections of the property and directly oversee service, grounds, and maintenance staff in coordination with the Superintendent.
- Work alongside the Maintenance Director to create and manage the preventative maintenance schedule.
- Assist the Superintendent and maintenance staff in conducting annual unit inspections to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Review, approve, or reject invoices based on proper GL coding, budget constraints, and verification of work completion.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in property management, with preference for experience in affordable housing.
- Knowledgeable in and compliant with all local, state and federal regulations governing the property including landlord/tenant regulations.
- Bilingual English and Spanish - read, write, speak – preferred
- High School diploma OR GED; Some college, preferred
