Overview:

We are looking for a proposal manager to support our corporate efforts to redefine pursuit management across all four sectors of business at Cordoba energy, education/facilities, water, and transportation. In this position, you will provide leadership or support on a variety of business development (BD) assignments, ranging from highly strategic proposals to smaller proposals and qualification statements, while overseeing proposal coordinators on resume and project description development and sub-consultant management. Members of the pursuit management team are expected to be self-starters who possess excellent oral and written communication skills, develop creative solutions for growth challenges, are team players ready to support one another, and have a vested interest in Cordobas success. You will be a close partner to our sales and operations teams by accelerating our need to consolidate, organize, and curate reusable sales content for client management and pursuit activities.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead sales and operations team members in client account management, Middle Game (prepositioning), and End Game (proposal/qualifications and interview) activities.
  • Direct graphic designers and other support staff in implementing Cordoba branding on proposals and qualifications documents.
  • Develop an understanding of business objectives, priorities, and sales strategies for the pursuit process.
  • Lead the coordination and preparation of proposals of all sizes, working directly with technical staff.
  • Lead planning and development of presentations and interviews.
  • Write, edit, tailor, and perform research for non-technical proposal sections and client account management documentation.
  • Utilize Adobe products (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) to create branded and graphically appealing BD projects and proposals.
  • Apply proposal management best practices in setting up and supporting proposal teams for success after RFP release.
  • Manage self and proposal team, monitoring progress and adherence to proposal schedule.
  • Lead kick-off meetings and other milestone meetings, including Color Reviews.
  • Provide quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) on proposal efforts through clear eyes reviews of documents for grammar, spelling, punctuation, and acronym synchronicity, as well as compliance checking proposals for inclusion of all required information from requests for proposals (RFPs) and requests for qualifications (RFQs).
  • Perform other related BD-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:

  • BS/BA degree in Communications, Marketing, or another related field.
  • 4+ years of relevant experience.
  • Excellent verbal communication/presentation and writing skills.
  • Ability to work on team projects and handle several assignments simultaneously.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft SharePoint and Office products.
  • Utilize Adobe products (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) for proposal efforts.
  • Strong focus on details and clear, concise writing.
  • Ability to demonstrate proficiency in organizational time management skills and ability to multi-task high priorities.
  • Experience in managing a team.
  • Salary range: $85,000 - $130,000 per year.
  • Location: Remote - Candidate must be a California resident.

Additional Requirements:

  • Two to three current (within the last three months) proposal examples will be requested where you managed the proposal process as the prime contact from start to finish.
