Proposal Writer – Associate/AVP

About the Role

My client is seeking a talented Proposal Writer at the Associate or Associate Vice President level to join their expanding Global Proposal Management team. This role is critical to crafting persuasive responses to Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Requests for Information (RFIs), Due Diligence Questionnaires (DDQs), and other client inquiries.

As part of this position, you will play a key role in establishing a centralized content library and proposal process globally. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Business Development, Legal, Compliance, Finance, InfoSec, Product, and other subject matter experts. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, possess exceptional writing skills, and have experience in the financial services industry.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop tailored, compelling responses to client proposals, highlighting my client's unique value proposition and addressing client-specific needs.
  • Edit and review proposal content to ensure clarity, consistency, and compliance.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to gather critical information for proposal development.
  • Solicit feedback from subject matter experts to refine and enhance proposal drafts.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing team to ensure brand alignment across all proposals.
  • Build and maintain a centralized content library to streamline future proposal efforts.
  • Assist with preparing materials for client calls as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with 3-7 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Proven ability to work independently with strong initiative and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated success in managing complex RFP responses from inception to completion, contributing to wins and revenue growth.
  • Excellent project management skills, capable of handling multiple time-sensitive projects simultaneously.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and persuasively.
  • Familiarity with RFP software, preferably Responsive/RFPio.
