A health services network on Long Island is looking to add a new Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join their teams in Suffolk and Nassau County. About the Opportunity: Shift: Days Specialty: Behavioral Health/ Social Services Patient Population: All Ages Responsibilities: The Social Worker (LMSW / LCSW) will be responsible for: Conducting comprehensive assessments of clients' needs, strengths, and challenges Developing and implementing care plans to address clients' needs, coordinating services, and advocating for their rights and access to resources Participating in community organizing, policy advocacy, and raising awareness about social issues. Providing education and preventive interventions on various social issues such as substance abuse, mental health, parenting, and healthy relationships Maintaining accurate and confidential records of client interactions, assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes Performing other duties, as needed Qualifications: 1+ year of Social Work experience Bachelor's Degree Active Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) Desired Skills: Experience in co-occurring disorders (ie. Substance Abuse and Mental Illness)
