Desired Skills and Experience* Program and operate ProtoTRAK milling machines and lathes to produce plastic components according to technical drawings and job specifications.* Select appropriate tooling and machine settings to efficiently machine plastic parts, considering the unique properties of different plastic materials.* Conduct first-piece inspections and monitor production to ensure compliance with specifications, quality standards, and tolerances.* Adjust feeds, speeds, and tooling based on plastic material properties (e.g., acrylic, PVC, polycarbonate) to achieve optimal surface finish and dimensional accuracy.* Perform preventive maintenance on ProtoTRAK machines, including cleaning and lubricating equipment to ensure peak performance.* Maintain precise records of production runs, tooling changes, and machine maintenance activities.* Work closely with production and engineering teams to troubleshoot issues and improve machining processes for plastic materials.* Follow safety protocols to prevent machine and material damage, especially when working with materials that may react to heat, stress, or specific cutting tools.
