General Description: Responsible for servicing and managing accounts on an as needed basis. Support regional teams when there are open positions or extended leaves. Responsibilities:
- Identify account development and/or new exposures.
- Review expiration list and assist with security renewal coverages. Update agency management systems with required file documentation.
- Meet service standards and Best Practices developed by USI.
- Maintain up to date Tasks on assigned book following up on all open items
- Assist with remarketing and quoting additional lines as needed.
- Issue proof of insurance as needed, deliver or cancel policies as required. Maintain renewal expirations, to avoid any lapse in coverage.
- Respond to underwriters' questions in a timely and professional manner.
- Maintain a high degree of accuracy in agency management and document management systems.
- Help prompt response from carrier.
- Perform monthly account review audits.
- Additional projects as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- 5+ years experience in Personal Lines Property & Casualty Insurance. Comprehensive understanding of all Property & Casualty insurance coverages, underwriting and rating concepts.
- Personal Risk experience as an account manager or leader. High-net worth and Middle Market experience.
- Deep knowledge of high-net worth carriers - Chubb, AIG, PURE, Cincinnati, Nationwide PCG
- High School Graduate. College degree preferred, but not required.
- Must hold state Property & Casualty insurance license
- Hold an industry designation such as CIC, CPRIA, CPRM, CPCU or intend to pursue designation. Expected to further industry knowledge through courses.
- Strong written, oral and interpersonal communication skills.
- Knowledge of Sagitta/WorkSmart preferred, but not required.
- Able to work in a fast-paced, team environment with minimal instruction.
- Keep informed about industry information, technology and trends.
