SummaryServes as education resource to the community and within the organization regarding Perinatal Substance Use Disorder (PSUD) and available treatment options. Develops and delivers professional education to a variety of stakeholders across the region that supports the needs of the community and the health system. Serves as a role model and advocate for evidence-based screening and management. Liaisons with marketing department to create educational and marketing materials to increase attendance at community educational events. In collaboration with marketing and leadership, develops internal and external education programs and materials to increase awareness around maternal death, infant death, PSUD, and stigma reduction. Works with employers, non-profits, and first responders as a role model and advocate for evidence-based treatment and prevention as well as the reduction of stigma within the community and across the health system.EducationBachelors degree in Nursing or health-related field of study.Licensure/CertificationRegistered Nurse or Licensed Social Worker preferred.ExperienceExperience with patient population is preferred including professional or lived experience.Other QualificationsDemonstrated competency in building community partnerships. Must be comfortable with public speaking and have the resolve to help others see the importance of evidence-based interventions for domestic violence and suicide prevention. Comfortable delivering information to a variety of education levels and answering sensitive and challenging questions. Must enjoy small to medium group education as well as individual/one-on-one education. Will serve as the content expert on addiction and the use of Medication Assisted Treatment as part of the care continuum. Must have good verbal, written, and computer communication skills. Must demonstrate the ability to be detail-oriented and perform tasks with high level of accuracy. Must be able to work independently. Must be able to research different resources to create formalized education. Must be able to communicate effectively with different audiences within the health system and across the community. Must have the ability to stay organized, manage time effectively, and manage multiple priorities at once. Attention to detail and record keeping proficiency are key to successfully supporting the required grant reports. Must be willing to travel to communities within the Parkview Health System.
