Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner - Commack/Westbury
Required Qualifications (as evidenced by an attached resume):
A license to practice as a Registered Nurse in New York State. Master's degree (foreign equivalent or higher) in Nursing. In lieu of a Master's degree, the combination of the Nurse Practitioner course completion and certification as a Nurse Practitioner may be considered. One (1) year of clinical experience providing psychiatric services. Certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) in the state of practice, as recognized by the American Nurses Credentialing Center Adult PMHNP certification.
Preferred Qualifications:
Doctor of Nursing Practice - DNP (or foreign equivalent). Two (2) years of clinical experience in an outpatient program providing psychiatric services in a primary care setting. One (1) year of full-time work experience as a Nurse Practitioner in general internal medicine. Experience with mood and anxiety disorders including PTSD and cognitive impairments. Prior experience with identification and treatment of survivors of trauma. Familiarity with NCCN guidelines and performing phlebotomy, conducting spirometry tests and EKGs. Knowledge of the WTC Health Program.
Brief Description of Duties:
The Stony Brook WTC Health Program offers comprehensive, integrative healthcare of 9/11-related illnesses for WTC disaster responders. Integral to our mission of patient-centered care is an enduring support community, advocacy for our 9/11 responders, and cutting-edge research efforts. The incumbent must possess excellent organizational and communication skills.

The Research Foundation of SUNY is a private educational corporation. Employment is subject to the Research Foundation policies and procedures, sponsor guidelines and the availability of funding. FLSA Exempt position, not eligible for the overtime provisions of the FLSA. Minimum salary threshold must be met to maintain FLSA exemption.
**The incumbent must be willing to work and travel between the Westbury and Commack clinic locations. Occasional Evenings and Saturdays will be required.

The starting salary range (or hiring range) to be offered for this position is noted below, it represents SBU's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
Salary: $125,500-$154,500
