Currently seeking a BC/BE Medical Director for a Medical Center's 16-bed Behavioral Health Unit. This position offers excellent benefits and is located in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains. The county contains portions of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, the Blue Ridge Parkway, and the Appalachian Trail.

The role is part clinical and part administrative, with call shared one night per week and one weekend per month. Substance abuse training and experience are preferred.

Summers and winters are typically mild due to the altitude and southern latitude. Tourism is a major industry in the county, offering a wealth of outdoor recreational opportunities including hiking, camping, mountain and road bicycling, horseback riding, waterskiing, boating, fishing, and hunting.
