Psychiatry - Tandym Health : Job Details

A mental healthcare organization in is currently seeking a licensed Psychiatrist to join their Outpatient team in Brooklyn.

Responsibilities:The Adult Outpatient Psychiatrist will be responsible for:

• Admission and discharge of patients, including psychiatric examination, evaluation and assessment
• Providing lethality assessments, suicide precautions and forensic evaluations when needed
• Ordering laboratory tests or diagnostic assessments, including consultation with medical specialty providers
• Performing first aid and medical triage, including initial physical examination on new admissions in the event a Physician is not on site
• Providing restraint and seclusion
• Perform other duties, as needed

Qualifications:

• NYS licensed Psychiatrist
• Board-certified Adult Psychiatrist by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology
• Valid National Provider Identification Number (NPI)
• Valid Federal Narcotics Number (DEA Number)
• Enrolled in CMS and remain an unconditional participating provider in the Medicare and Medicaid OPRA programs
• Enroll in NYS Medicaid as a Billing Provider or an Ordering, Referring and Attending Prescriber
• Enroll in NYS Internet System for Tracking Over-Prescribing/Prescription Monitoring Program (I-STOP/PMP)
