Psychotherapist - HCP Talent : Job Details

Exciting opportunity for a seasoned psychotherapist. Our client, a Community Health Center in Manhattan, NY is hiring a Psychotherapist. Under the supervision of the Managing Clinical Director, the Psychotherapist will deliver individual, group, and family therapy, provide supportive counseling, crisis intervention, and coordinate care for clients.

Job Responsibilities:

• Screen and assess clients for admission into the Article 31 Mental Health Clinic, in collaboration with a psychiatrist or psychiatric nurse practitioner.
• Use evidence-based tools (e.g., PHQ-9, GAD-7, AUDIT, DAST) to form clinical diagnoses.
• Apply MI and CBT; experience with other therapies (e.g., DBT, TF-CBT) preferred.
• Provide group or family therapy as needed.
• Set treatment goals with clients as part of the care planning process.
• Serve as the primary psychotherapist, documenting sessions and communication with providers.
• Participate in biweekly supervision, team meetings, and trainings.
• Collaborate with the team on care coordination and treatment planning.
• Lead case conferences for high-risk clients and maintain confidentiality of patient information in the EHR.

Requirements:

• Master's in Social Work with LMSW/LCSW certification
• 2+ years experience providing psychotherapy and clinical supervision.
• Experience providing psychotherapy in an Article 31 or similar outpatient clinic required.
• Experience working with individuals with a history of substance use, mental illness, chronic homelessness, HIV/AIDS, or other chronic health conditions is required.
• Experience working with adolescents, young adults and families is preferred.
• Experience facilitating therapy groups preferred.
• Preference for candidates already credentialed with insurance panels.
• Bilingual in Spanish a plus
