PT - Nursing Assistant Program Clinical AssociateSalary: $35.00 - 40.00 per hour.Summary of Function: Under the supervision of the Nursing Assistant Program Coordinator, supervises, educates, and evaluates nursing assistant students. Delivers didactic and clinical instruction.Typical Duties:* Serves Students. Teach as assigned. Plans student learning experiences; accomplishes course goals and lesson objectives; enforces a grading policy that meets or exceeds the requirements as defined in the Arizona State Board of Nursing (AZBN) rules. Prevents a student from performing an activity unless the student has received instruction and been found to competently perform the activity; supervises any student who provides care to clients in clinical areas, consistent with the state board requirements; is present in the classroom during all instruction.* Maintains collegial rapport with clinical affiliates, and fosters program growth through partnerships. Ensures scheduling of clinical assignments that assure that students can achieve course objectives. Assists in the planning and coordination of program functions. Maintains current knowledge of AZBN Article 8 of the Nurse Practice Act.* Participates in continuing education to improve evaluation skills and maintain competence. Participates in meetings.* Supports and participates in strategic initiatives and performs other duties as assigned.Required Qualifications:* Provide documentation of one or more of the following: Successful completion of a three-semester credit course on adult teaching and learning concepts offered by an accredited post-secondary educational institution* Completion of a 40-hour continuing education program in adult teaching and learning concepts that were awarded continuing education credit by an accredited organization* One year of full-time or 1500 hours of experience teaching adults as a faculty member or clinical educator* One year of full-time or 1500 hours of experience supervising nursing assistants, either in addition to or concurrent with the one year of experience required in subsection* The candidate should also possess a working knowledge of the nursing assistant scope of practiceAdditional Eligibility Requirements:* Hold a current, registered nurse license that is active and in good standing under A.R.S.
