Responsibilities
Job Overview:UMSL Campus Recreation is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic student to join our team as an Operations Assistant. This position offers a unique opportunity to gain practical experience in facility management, customer service, and program coordination while supporting your academic journey.
Key Responsibilities:
* Customer Service: Greet and assist members and guests, providing information about programs, services, and policies.
* Facility Supervision: Monitor the use of recreational areas to ensure a safe and inclusive environment. Report any maintenance or safety issues.
* Administrative Support: Assist with the scheduling of prgrams and activities, manage equipment check-out and return, and maintain accurate records.
* Opening/Closing Duties: Assist with opening and closing procedures, including locking/unlocking doors and turning lights on/off.
* Program Support: Provide support during special events and programs, ensuring they run smoothly and efficiently.
* Cleaning and Maintenance: Perform routine cleaning tasks to maintain the cleanliness and functionality of the facility.
* Risk Management: Create an implement staff audits and mock drills. Maintain first aid and CPR inventory checklists.
* Other duties as required.
Qualifications
* Ability and willingness to enforce policies and handle conflict
* Strong customer service skills and basic knowledge of computer skills
* Ability to handle several tasks at once with frequent interruption
* Ability to be certified as a CPR/AED/FA Professional Rescuer through the American Red Cross
