Safety Team MemberJericho Road Community Health Center is actively seeking a Safety Team Member. This position is part-time, within the Safety Department, working across all of our Buffalo locations. - Manage the patrolling of premises regularly to detect signs of intrusion and ensure security of doors and windows.
- Ensuring the opening and closing of JRCHC facilities.
- Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, residents, and patients and maintain security of premises.
- Prevent unauthorized individuals from entering restricted areas, monitor flow of people to prevent problems.
- Lead staff in proper procedures to secure areas during emergencies and drills.
- Fill out incident reports as needed.
- Be able to determine when to call 911 in emergencies and place the call when needed
- Attend Crisis Prevention Intervention de-escalation Training and all required mandatory and annual training
- Monitor surveillance equipment.
- Ability to identify areas of risk and respond swiftly and appropriately.
- Assist incoming individuals questions and concerns, able to direct individuals and find solutions and provide direction to appropriate team member for follow through on their needs/requests
- Act as a deterrent for potential crime and physical danger to employees/patients/residents for all locations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent, Associates or Bachelors in Criminal Justice, Risk Management or equivalent course of study preferred
- Minimum of one year experience working on a safety team, in an area of risk management, or relevant experience
- Must be self-motivated and able to function independently and know when to seek direction from Supervisor
- Must have NYS Security Guard License or obtain within thirty (30) days of employment
Hourly Rate: $17.00 per hour.
