Summary About the Position: This is a Permanent position US Army Training and Doctrine Command HQ TRADOC Office of The Deputy Commanding General /Chief of Staff Office of The Chief of Public Affairs Command Information Branch. Responsibilities Write a variety of articles and social media posts conveying information and clarifying the Agency operations, programs and activities to specialized audiences and the general public. Support the Command's social media program, identifying opportunities and evaluating applicability to support the Command's communication efforts in reaching targeted audiences Video production, Photography. Gathers video, photographs, and artwork/graphics for inclusion in publications, exhibits, websites, speech and event support and other Public Affairs uses to communicate TRADOC mission stories. Assists in planning, developing, writing, editing news releases, articles and communication information, historical content and fact sheets, via print and broadcast mediums. Content will have proper grammar following the Associated Press Style. Coordinates with the public to provide information regarding the Command's mission. Provides PA support for community events. Coordinates with Public Affairs staff and/or appropriate subject matter experts to respond to inquiries from the public, media, consultants, employees and agency officials. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 grade level in the Federal service which includes: Assisting in planning, writing, editing, developing, and disseminating articles; Coordinating with the public providing Public Affair support for community events; Supports the planning/assessment and execution of a variety of internal and external events designed to share/exchange information with key audiences. -OR- Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Public Administration. -OR- Combining Education and Experience: Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages.
