Provides Resort guest with instruction on the safe and proper usage of all equipment in the health and fitness area. Maintains the high standards of cleanliness and safety of the recreation area, front desk, hotel lobby and offices. Duties include but are not limited to:
* Greets, interacts with Resort guest in a friendly manner and responds to special requests. Maintains privacy and security by properly announcing entry and servicing guestrooms as appropriate.
* Upholds the resorts commitment to exceptional guest service.
* Maintains a neat and clean appearance of the recreation area, and hotel lobby at all times.
* Maintains current and comprehensive knowledge of all equipment available to the Resort guest, including proper usage and mechanical working of the equipment.
* Performs routine floor inspections, replacing items on the phone tables, emptying ashtray urns, removing trash and replace sand as necessary. This includes exterior receptacles.
* Observes status and maintains common areas such as floor closets, stairwells, hallways and elevators.
* Maintains the daily log, including accounting for completed tasks, tracking issued keys and reviewing the communications log.
* Performs due-out guest verification at noon daily.
* Properly handles lost and found items in accordance with security department policies and procedures.
* Replaces linens, replenishes amenities and makes up beds when assigned to guestrooms. Disposes contaminated materials and /or rubbish.
* Properly uses and maintains assigned equipment and supplies to departmental specifications.
* Assist guest when possible with comments, questions or concerns or refers them to management in a continuous efforts to provide superior guest service.
* Willingly accepts the philosophy that the customer needs are the first priority when staffing is possible. Works holidays and weekends when requested. Is reasonably flexible and displays a willingness to accept additional shifts/overtime as needed.
* Performs and assists with other duties and responsibilities set forth by the Guest Services Supervisor, Hotel Manager and Hotel Director.
Requirements
* High School Diploma or GED Certificate required.
* 1 year guest service experience strongly preferred. Hotel/Motel experience is helpful.
* Recreation personnel should know how to swim.
* Able to perform repetitive tasks/motions.
* Good manual dexterity along with good eye/hand coordination and clarity of vision.
* Excellent organizational, verbal, interpersonal and guest relations skills.
* Ability to read, comprehend, and follow verbal and written instructions.
* Able to obtain a CPR Card or have a current one.
* Must be able to obtain a Class I Gaming License.
