Overview:
The position of Pump/ Compressor Mechanic is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of compressors and pumps used in the extraction and transportation of oil and gas. This role is critical to ensuring the efficiency and safety of operations within the oil and gas industry.
Responsibilities:
- Working knowledge of engines, pumps and compressors.
- Working Knowledge & Experience in the following: H-Pumps, Centrifugal Pumps, Rod Pumps, etc.
- Working knowledge of ADEM 3 engine control systems.
- Ability to tune and adjust with Caterpillar ET computer program.
- Experience working with high-speed reciprocating Ariel and GE-Gemini compressors.
- Troubleshoot pump & compressor valves, identify and repair compressor packing leaks.
- Experience in troubleshooting and repairing centrifugal and positive displacement (SWD) pumps.
- Responsible attitude for personal safety and the safety of co-workers, contractors and the public.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of Oil & Gas Compressor and Pump Mechanic experience required with the following working knowledge of Pumps, Centrifugal Pumps, H-Pumps, Ariel Compressors, etc.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required. Some college or technical training preferred
- Valid Driver's License with an excellent driving record
- Must meet all conditional job offer requirements including background, drug, MVR, agility, and fit for duty.
- Physical Requirements - Must be able to lift 40 lbs., climb ladders and stairs. Walking, bending stooping is required. Must be able to wear personal protective equipment. Must be able to respond to visual and audible alarms.
