Position Summary
The Purchasing Agent will be responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and ensuring timely delivery of Electrical, HVAC, and Plumbing products and services to support ongoing projects. This role requires strong organizational skills and communication with various stakeholders, including vendors, suppliers, and internal teams. The Purchasing Agent will also play a critical role in generating reports and monitoring performance metrics to ensure efficient procurement practices across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Purchasing & Sourcing: Procure materials and equipment for Electrical, HVAC, and Plumbing projects, working closely with suppliers and internal departments to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
Supplier Management: Maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers, ensuring quality, cost-effectiveness, and adherence to delivery schedules.
Logistics and Reporting: Generate monthly reports on KPIs (Key Performance Indicators), logistics performance, and procurement metrics for management review.
Collaboration: Work closely with divisional managers and project teams to understand purchasing needs and coordinate supply deliveries for ongoing and upcoming projects.
Inventory Control: Monitor inventory levels and work with suppliers to avoid stockouts or overstock situations.
Compliance and Record Keeping: Ensure all procurement activities adhere to company policies and industry regulations, and maintain detailed records of purchases, contracts, and supplier communications.
