Job Title: Purchasing Manager

Location: St. Clair County, IL; Onsite only

Status: Direct Hire

Schedule: Mon- Fri, Days; Some domestic and international travel required

Compensation: $90,000 - $120,000 based on experience

Position Overview:

Supervises the operations of the Purchasing department, ensuring internal and external commitments are met. Leads and builds an effective team, solving complex problems and implementing strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

· Collaborate across departments to meet customer needs.

· Develop and implement programs for strategic sourcing and performance goals.

· Oversee vendor evaluations, establish criteria, and conduct quality investigations.

· Manage international and domestic purchase orders aligned with production schedules.

· Maintain supplier performance records and initiate corrective actions as needed.

· Ensure accurate material cost, lead times, and traceability within systems.

· Supervise and train department staff, addressing performance and resolving issues.

· Achieve KPIs set by leadership.

Qualifications

· Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred) in a relevant field.

· 5+ years of Purchasing experience in an Industrial environment.

· 3+ years of team supervisory or management experience required

· Advanced Excel and JD Edwards experience preferred.

· Strong decision-making, leadership, and motivational skills.

· Valid driver's license and ability to travel domestically and internationally.

· Travel may be required, including internationally.
