The ideal candidate will be responsible for effectively managing a team, sourcing equipment, goods, and services, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring that procurement activities align with company objectives and budgetary constraints.
RequirementsWe are searching for a candidate with:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, or a related field is required.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement or purchasing management, preferably within the manufacturing industry. Strong expertise in ERP/MRP systems, with Infor V9 experience as a hard requirement.
- Skills: Strong team management and leadership abilities, exceptional ability to collaborate and communicate across departments, strong negotiation and networking skills, proficiency in procurement software and vendor management systems, excellent analytical and decision-making skills, ability to gather and analyze data to inform purchasing decisions, solid judgment and leadership capabilities.
Duties and ResponsibilitiesA typical day may include:
- Team Leadership: Effectively manage and develop a high-performing procurement team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work effectively across different departments, including Production, Engineering, and Finance, to understand material requirements and align procurement strategies with organizational goals.
- Develop and Implement Procurement Strategies: Formulate purchasing strategies that align with company goals and market conditions, while working closely with the sourcing team to ensure alignment and execution of procurement objectives.
- Vendor Management: Identify, evaluate, and establish relationships with reliable suppliers; negotiate contracts to secure advantageous terms.
- Cost Management: Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness.
- Inventory Control: Monitor and forecast upcoming levels of demand to ensure product availability and minimize excess inventory.
- ERP/MRP Expertise: Utilize ERP/MRP systems effectively (experience with Infor V9 as a big plus).
- Risk Management: Assess, manage, and mitigate risks associated with the supply chain.
- Compliance: Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and legal regulations.

Position Details
- This position is full-time on-site, 5 days a week, with some flexibility as needed.
- Day shifts, generally 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
