Position: Purchasing Manager

Beverly Wilshire, a Four Seasons Hotel, is looking for a Purchasing Manager who shares a passion for excellence and who infuses enthusiasm into everything they do. This position has the opportunity to shape employee experience by providing exceptional knowledge and service in support of our world-renowned hotels. The Purchasing Manager reports to the Director of Purchasing. Work authorization for the location is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the supervision of the Purchasing operations, training of the Purchasing department employees and thoroughly understand all of their duties and responsibilities.
• Maintain records and files of the Purchasing department.
• Process all communications related to purchase orders.
• Verify totals on requisitions and purchase orders.
• Follow all purchase orders to ensure departments are receiving what is necessary and in a timely manner.
• Ensure all purchase order requests are properly completed and approved.
• Ensure all storage areas are secure, clean and properly organized.
• Establish and maintain par stocks on non-food and beverage items.
• Assist in the coordination of the annual operating equipment and supply requirements.
• Assist in the purchases related to capital projects.
• Conduct quality control audits to ensure staff are following established procedures.
• Assist in month end and quarterly inventories of food, beverage, operating equipment and supplies.
• Administer the payroll on a daily and weekly basis.
• Price and compile and phone in orders for supplies.
• Review all banquet prospectus sheets with the Buyer.
• Respond properly in any hotel emergency or safety situation.
• Maintain accurate written food specifications and use them effectively for price quotation and receiving.
• Supervise receiving, documenting, storage, issue procedures as outlined in the policy and produce manuals ensuring product pricing, rotation and inventory levels as well as storage area sanitation.
• Take necessary actions to ensure your pager units are kept in proper working order and in your possession at all times required.
• Monitor performance of subordinate to ensure they are meeting requirements of their job description.
• Handle in a timely fashion all requests related to Purchasing information.

Salary: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00
