Purchasing Planner - Emerson : Job Details

We are seeking a Purchasing Planner to join our team at RIDGID's world headquarters in Elyria, OH. Under general guidance of the Materials Manager, this position is responsible for working with suppliers and production to ensure efficient and effective movement of materials. They are required maintain accurate inventories, troubleshoot issues with suppliers and inventory and process documentation. We invite you to apply for this position and join our team and make a positive impact to the business.As a Purchasing Planner, You Will:• Run past due supplier reports and follow up as necessary• Updates system messages and report updates to Materials Manager and Business Unit Managers, along with production boards• Maintains and updates purchase Parameters based on PFEP• Monitors daily releases to suppliers and expedites materials as necessary• Works closely with sourcing and suppliers.• Reviews supplier on time delivery performance• Review slow moving/excess/obsolete inventory and suggests action• Work with production planners to communicate shortages• Work with inventory control to maintain accurate system inventories• Review blocking orders for purchase parts and follow up as needed• Work with Materials Manager to maintain a purchased part storage warehouse• Attend meetings as the need arisesWho You AreYou persist in accomplishing objectives despite obstacles and setbacks.
