Purchasing & Shipping/Receiving CoordinatorLocation: Columbus, GA Company: Southern Rewinding Job Summary: Southern Rewinding is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Purchasing & Shipping/Receiving Coordinator to manage the procurement of materials, oversee shipping and receiving operations, and ensure inventory accuracy. This role is critical in maintaining smooth supply chain operations by coordinating vendor relationships, tracking shipments, and ensuring timely delivery of goods. The ideal candidate will have experience in purchasing, logistics, and warehouse operations with a strong focus on accuracy and efficiency. Key Responsibilities:Purchasing:

• Source, negotiate, and procure materials, supplies, and equipment based on company needs.
• Maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and quality.
• Process purchase orders and track orders to ensure timely delivery.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate restocking as needed.
• Work closely with internal teams to identify purchasing needs and cost-saving opportunities.

Shipping & Receiving:

• Oversee the receiving, inspection, and verification of incoming shipments.
• Ensure accurate documentation and inventory control for all received goods.
• Coordinate outgoing shipments, including preparing packing lists, shipping labels, and freight arrangements.
• Maintain organization and cleanliness in the shipping/receiving area.
• Work with carriers to track shipments and resolve any delays or issues.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and shipping guidelines.

Specific Qualifications Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (associate or bachelor's degree preferred).
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in purchasing, shipping, receiving, or logistics.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Knowledge of inventory management and supply chain processes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and inventory management software.
• Ability to communicate effectively with vendors, suppliers, and internal teams.
• Forklift certification or willingness to obtain one is a plus.
• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
