Purchasing Specialist - Kirby Risk : Job Details

Ready for a challenge? We need someone to ensure our Distribution Center and branch locations are fully stocked and ready to supply all our customers.

Specifically, we seek someone with the drive and stamina to monitor product shortages. Meeting our customer demand for inventory is crucial, perhaps more now than ever!

If you are up for the challenge, Kirby Risk Corporation has an opportunity waiting for you in Purchasing in Indianapolis/Lafayette.

What will I be doing?

• Preparing purchase orders/bid requests and utilizing software and reports to manage inventory levels proactively
• Processing emergency purchase orders
• Reconciling invoices, resolving product emails, and responding to vendor emails and to voicemails.
• Conferring with vendors to obtain product information, order status, and quantity or quality discrepancies
• Compiling, recording, and reporting data as well as maintaining product files for lines purchased
• Interfacing with all departments to resolve problems/issues and conferring with managers to obtain required information
• Developing and maintaining constructive relationships with other branches and departments

• Exceptional attention to detail; well organized
• Expert at prioritizing daily tasks with the flexibility to allow for exceptions and interruptions
• Solid ability to work in and troubleshoot issues with Microsoft Excel
• Notable communication skills; verbal, written, and interpersonal
• Confidence in procuring Kirby Risk's products
• Sound experience evaluating inventory
• Openness to working with other departments, such as Marketing, as needed

Nice to haves: Purchasing Experience, Product knowledge, Eclipse knowledge

Limited Travel. Work hours: 8 am 5 pm
