This position is under the direct supervision of the Director of Purchasing & Logistics and the general supervision of the Assistant Superintendent of Business Services. The Purchasing Supervisor is responsible for supervising, planning, and coordinating the purchasing activities for the district. Coordinates purchasing services with other departments, outside vendors and agencies, and the general public. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Assists the Director of Purchasing and Logistics in the day-to-day organization, staffing and operational activities. Assists in the development and implementation of goals, objectives, policies, and priorities for maintenance operations. Regularly Meets with staff to communicate district plans, policies and procedures. Identifies opportunities for improving service delivery methods and procedures.
