Our challenge:

We are seeking a skilled Python Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in developing robust applications using Python, with a strong focus on MongoDB, Microservices architecture, and implementing security best practices. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and maintain scalable applications that meet our business needs.

Additional Information*

The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors.

In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within “Charlotte, NC” is 115-125 K /year & benefits (see below).

The Role

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable and high-performance applications using Python and MongoDB.
  • Implement microservices architecture to enhance application modularity and maintainability.
  • Collaborate with product managers, business analysts, and designers to understand project requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Ensure application security by integrating security best practices throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
  • Conduct code reviews and unit testing to ensure code quality and reliability.
  • Troubleshoot and debug applications to resolve issues in a timely manner.
  • Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends related to Python, MongoDB, and security practices.

Requirements:

You are:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Python Developer, with a strong portfolio of projects.
  • Hands-on experience with MongoDB and related technologies (e.g., Mongoose, Aggregation Framework).
  • Experience in designing and implementing microservices architecture.
  • Strong understanding of application security principles and practices.
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs and web services.
  • Experience with CI/CD technologies such as Gradle, Jenkins, GitHub, Artifactory, Harness, Sonar etc.
  • Experience on automated unit testing framework Pytest
  • Experience on agile software development lifecycle.
  • Knowledge of containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
  • Proficient in version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

It would be great if you also had:

  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Knowledge of front-end technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus.
