QA Automation Lead - Solomon Page : Job Details

Our client, a New Jersey based hedge fund, focuses exclusively on managing equity portfolios for institutional clients. They encourage intellectual curiosity, provide a stable environment, and offer a good work/life balance. Lead role in the automation and improvement in the testing of applications that support proprietary quantitative investment strategies. This is a hybrid position with 3 days a week in the office.

• Salary: $200k

Responsibilities:

• Develop QA test automation framework including evaluating automation test tools and proof of concepts
• Perform hands-on software quality assurance and automation testing to ensure specifications are met
• Maintain the test data for automation deliverables and assist in writing efficient, reusable automated test plans/cases
• Prepare the necessary data to cover various automation scenarios and write SQL scripts to verify the database updates, insertion and deletion of the records
• Responsible for integrating and improving the change management processes including bug tracking, source control, CI/CD, and release management
• Manage and automate software (C++, .Net, C#) deployment using Git, TeamCity, Octopus Deploy, etc.

Required Qualifications:

• Master's degree required. Engineering/Computer Science/Math preferred.
• Minimum of four (4) years of experience of Software Quality Automation
• Coding skills in C++ required. C# is a plus
• Relevant financial industry experienced preferred
• Working knowledge with bug tracking, source control, build CI/CD automation, release management & deployment automation solutions
• Experience in creating, maintaining, and executing automated test scripts at the code level; Experience with Google Test or Microsoft Unit test tools is a plus
• Be able to work within an Agile environment, processes, and tools
• Comfortable with collaboration, open communication and reaching across Development, QA, Operations, and cross functional teams
• Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team
