Job Description: As the QA Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing the Quality Assurance process for our 4-player beat 'em up video game. In this role, you will lead a team of QA testers, manage the overall testing workflow, and ensure that bugs are identified, tracked, and resolved. You'll also participate in hands-on testing and collaborate closely with the development team to help deliver a polished and seamless gaming experience. Key Responsibilities: Lead and mentor a team of QA testers, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback. Develop and implement comprehensive QA strategies and test plans for the game, focusing on multiplayer, mechanics, controls, and overall gameplay experience. Conduct hands-on testing to identify and report bugs, glitches, performance issues, and areas for improvement. Work closely with the development and design teams to provide feedback on game balance, player experience, and technical issues. Manage bug tracking and reporting systems, ensuring clear communication of issues and progress. Prioritize tasks and allocate resources to meet project deadlines while maintaining high standards of quality. Collaborate on developing and executing test cases for various stages of the game (alpha, beta, and final release). Perform regression testing after bug fixes or updates to ensure stability and performance. Participate in regular playtesting sessions, providing insights into gameplay and functionality. Qualifications: 3 years of experience in Quality Assurance for video games, preferably with experience in multiplayer or beat 'em-up genres. Previous experience in a leadership or QA management role, with a proven ability to lead and inspire a team. Strong understanding of game development processes and cycles. Hands-on experience with bug tracking and management tools (e.g., JIRA, Trello). Exceptional attention to detail and a passion for delivering high-quality gaming experiences. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment, adapting to changing priorities and deadlines. Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to convey complex issues clearly and concisely. Nice-to-Have: Experience working on multiplayer or co-op games. Knowledge of game engines and development platforms (e.g., Unity, Unreal Engine). Familiarity with console testing, as well as PC testing environments. Why Join Us?
