QA & NDT Inspector Job Summary: To ensure that repair jobs meet the requirements of the customer as defined by the customer's purchase order, the customers scope of work, and/or the customer's special instructions. Describe current / As Found conditions in ValvKeep and make recommendation to the Service Coordinator, for needed repairs to customer owned equipment. Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Measure Critical Dimensions
- Assess and Inspect ALL parts
- Read and interpret blueprint drawings
- Read drawings of various fittings parts
- Successfully complete Non-destructive testing Certification and training for VT & PT inspections
- Clean & Prepare fittings for NDT inspections as required by the standards
- Communicate with the welding department for repair of fittings
- Efficient utilization of precision machinist tools.
- Efficient utilization Quality tools such as, Vanier calipers, micrometers, height gauge, etc.
- Learn all Quality Procedures (QP) and Work Instructions (WI). At a minimum, be aware what QP and WI covers any given issue in the Production process
- Learn the production processes and company workflow
Positional Requirements & Qualifications:
- Education & Experience
- HS Education or GED Equivalent a plus
- Skills & Abilities
- Be knowledgeable of company quality procedures
- Basic mechanical aptitude including, but not limited to, basic hand and power tool knowledge
- Organized and detail-oriented
- Safety and Quality-minded
- Basic mechanic knowledge
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot and diagnose systemic problems.
- Ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel and Google
- Sales oriented
- Must be able to travel and have a clear driving record in accordance to company driving guidelines
- Clear background check and drug/alcohol screening
