As a QA/QC Incoming Inspector, you will be part of the client teamQA/QC Incoming Inspector22025 20th Ave SE, Suite 100 Bothell Washington 98021 United States6+ Months ContractShift timings Exact Schedule: 530am-230pm M-F, OT possibleJob DescriptionRequired: metrology tools: calipers, micrometers, height gauges, pin gauges, thread gauges, bore gauges, dial indicatorMust have at least 5 years experience with dimensional incoming inspectionExperience in reading and understanding mechanical drawingsExperience in reading and following written procedures and work instructionsThe key objective for a QA/QC Incoming Inspector is to examine incoming materials against specifications and/or inspection instructions set forth by the customerResponsibilities/Functions:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily, with or without accommodation. The employee must also be willing to demonstrate skills as necessary.Perform dimensional inspection of machined components, sheet metal parts, and plastic parts per mechanical drawing specifications and (when applicable) international standardsPerform cosmetic inspection of anodized/coated parts per mechanical drawing specifications and (when applicable) international standardsInspect incoming materials quickly and accurately while meeting/exceeding minimum lot requirements each weekPrioritize incoming jobs in alignment with business needsKeep a detailed log of incoming inspection resultsTransact materials in Thermo Fisher Scientific's enterprise resource planning (ERP) systemEscalate quality findings/issues quickly to Supply Chain, Quality Management, and OperationsDisposition nonconforming materials into MRBProvide inputs for process improvement for inspection accuracy and efficiencyPerform work in accordance with internal proceduresSupport equipment/tooling calibration activities as necessaryRequirements:At least 5 years of experience in dimensional incoming inspectionMust be proficient with the following metrology tools: calipers, micrometers, height gauges, pin gauges, thread gauges, bore gauges, dial indicator, etc.Ability to read and understand mechanical drawingsMust be able to relate to other people beyond giving and receiving instructions: (a) can get along with co-workers, peers and upper management without exhibiting behavioral extremes; (b) perform work activities requiring negotiating, instructing, supervising, persuading or speaking with others; and (c) respond appropriately to constructive criticism from a supervisorComputer and system application skills to efficiency and accurate transact information on inspected materials/lots as neededCompetency with all Microsoft Office applications, in particular Outlook, Word, Excel and SharePointExperience using ERP systemsAbility to read and follow written procedures and work instructionsAbility to communicate effectively in both written and verbal contexts knowledge/experience in manufacturing processesExperience with CMM inspection is a plusEducation requirements:High school diploma requiredAssociates degree in a related field is preferred, but not requiredAbout ManpowerGroup, Parent Company of: Manpower, Experis, Talent Solutions, and Jefferson WellsManpowerGroup® (NYSE: MAN), the leading global workforce solutions company, helps organizations transform in a fast-changing world of work by sourcing, assessing, developing, and managing the talent that enables them to win.
