Job Description
Provide training and support in the areas of food safety and quality systems to assure the production and distribution of safe, quality coffee and tea product. Assist teams in certification compliance for product integrity. Perform all jobs safely, efficiently and accuratelyto assist in maintaining and improving the performance of the entire plant in the areas of Safety, Quality, and Regulatory Compliance.
Essential Job Functions:
* Responsible for coordinating and conducting training of internal teams on all quality-lead initiatives (SQF, GMPs, HACCP, NOP).
* Provides training for programs related to quality initiatives.
* Validates that receiving procedures for incoming and outgoing ingredients are in compliance with quality and safety standards.
* Support quality initiatives by leading routine Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) walkthroughs and participating in or leading any food safety or quality initiatives.
* Lead internal SQF auditor for all sites, coordinating internal reviews and reporting.
* Maintain compliance with glass and brittle plastics evaluations at all sites.
* Serves as back up for QA floor inspector duties when required.
* Monitor to help ensure that Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP), Hazard Analysis and Risk-based Preventive Controls (HARPC), Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOPs), allergen programs, formulations, and finished product meet specification.
* Assists in maintaining third party vendor compliance with quality programs: pest management, chemical suppliers.
* Ensure Operational teams compliance with all issued policies and procedures documented in the Allegro Operating Manuals and Regulatory requirements, including SQF, GMP, HACCP, FDA, OSHA as well as any local/state/federal requirements.
* Participate in continuous improvement development and implementation with Operations teams.
* For SQF purposes, this position being part of Management & Operations is considered a High level of Responsibility with the back-up position for the Team Leader, Food Safety and Incident Management.
Minimum Position Qualifications:
* Demonstrates good interpersonal communication skills
* Working knowledge of food safety programs, microbiological and sanitation concepts
* Working knowledge of food manufacturing plant operations
* Provide support to production in continuous improvement effort
The wage range for this position is $21.50 - $38.70 Hourly, commensurate with experience. Whole Foods Market offers Whole Benefits.
