Opportunity Overview

SD Solutions is seeking a QA Tester to join our team supporting the Digital Modernization program. The role involves providing agile technical delivery activities and crafting technical strategy with our larger technical team. This position is remote.

Responsibilities Include

  • Design and implement frameworks for enterprise-wide applications.
  • Assume ownership of automation architecture (both functional and performance) and establish test frameworks and infrastructure.
  • Conduct reviews of system architecture, code, and design documents within a specific portfolio.
  • Identify project risks and develop effective mitigation strategies.
  • Independently assure the quality of all software development life cycle phases in a project.
  • Actively engage in collaborative defect resolution, including root cause analysis of production incidents.
  • Continuously innovate and enhance the testing process for increased efficiency.
  • Demonstrate expertise in the relevant business domain for the projects you're involved in.
  • Create and execute complex test strategies across multiple systems as necessary. Architect, design, and develop automation code, scripts, utilities, simulators, data generators, API/Interface testing solutions, and other programmatic test tools for testing complex systems.
  • Review and provide valuable feedback on system architecture, code, and design documents.
  • Lead the collaborative resolution of defects, including root cause analysis for production incidents.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to a team of Developers in Test.

    • Requirements Overview

  • A minimum of 3 years of proven experience in the IT industry.
  • Advanced understanding of computer science fundamentals, including algorithm design, problem-solving, complexity analysis, and data structures.
  • In-depth knowledge of testing processes, test types, test design, and testing methodologies.
  • Expertise in modern programming languages and common development technologies, coupled with software architecture and design skills.
  • Proficiency in functional, performance, security, or DevOps test tools.
  • Proven experience in architecting, designing, and developing automation frameworks and test suites.
  • Familiarity with Cloud-related technologies.
  • Competency in Unix/Linux environments.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and exceptional written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment.
  • Tools In The Environment
  • Testing Tools: Protractor, Gatling or JMeter
  • Cloud: AWS
  • Database: SQL
  • CI/CD: Jenkins
  • Version Control: Git
  • Clearance requirement: Active MBI with IRS highly preferred.
  • Must be U.S. Citizen
