The QC Lab Technician must learn quickly, be a team player, and ensure optimal lab operation. They can also adhere to company policies and procedures concerning safe work practices and testing procedures.What you do: Our ideal teammate has work-related experience with the following
  • Conduct these on-going tests according to established procedures:
    • Solids
    • Viscosity
    • pH
    • Grit
    • Particle size
    • Film tests
    • Froth
    • Density
    • Gas Chromatography
    • Styrene-butadiene ratio checks
    • Surface tension
    • Biological tests
    • Product Blends
    • Manual COA generation when necessary
    • On-site truck dispatch
    • Distribution of logistic paperwork for deliveries (in-coming and out-going)
    • Participate in regular training assessments per the QC Lab Supervisor.
    • Others as requested or required
  • Input data and maintain accurate records of tests on worksheets and computer database
  • Perform weekly calibration checks on lab instruments and records data
  • Perform clerical tasks as required to release shipments to customers, to communicate OOS data, and to perform/complete all necessary checklists for product blends and other miscellaneous tests.
  • Retain samples in an organized manner.
  • Pull and test retains for customer complaints.
  • Interpret test results and communicate results as soon as possible.
  • Serve as primary contact with drivers picking up or dropping trailers, including creation and distribution of required paperwork
  • Accountable to training Quality Control Technicians
QualificationsSkills and Qualifications:
  • Work independently and in a team
  • Multi-task with flexibility
  • Successfully prioritize when faced with requests, demands, and deadlines
  • Interpret and communicate test results
  • Demonstrate an ability to identify, analyze and solve problems
  • Utilize Microsoft Office, JDE, and Bizzmine effectively and with ease
  • 1+ years of prior lab testing experience
  • Effective communication skills (written and oral); customer-oriented (internal and external)
  • Proficiency in basic math (including rounding and percentages)
  • Prefer a 2yr/4yr Chemistry degree
  • Prefer ASQ Certification
Work Schedule:12-hour shifts, 2/2/3 Schedule, Nights Must be able to work weekends and holidays as scheduledPositions available:1 (one)
