About the Company

We are a small but growing Animal Health Care company that specializes in the development and manufacture of vaccines for herd animals, primarily pigs and cows. If you have experience working in a QC lab, performing chemical and/or microbiological testing, this may be the opportunity you have been looking for! We are looking for a QC Lab Tech to work in our Omaha, Nebraska location.

In this key role, you will collaborate within a small team to test vaccines and raw materials under 9CFR guidelines. Responsibilities

• Perform raw material, in-process and final vaccine testing using some of the following techniques/assays: growth promotion testing, microbiological plating, viral inactivation testing, viral hemagglutination testing, safety testing and mycoplasma detection, among others.
• Work with micropipettes, microscopes, particle size analyzers, viscometers and hydrometers to perform testing.
• Follow SOPs and provide accurate reporting into database.
• Release raw materials accordingly, based on test results.
• Submit documentation to the government for final vaccine approval and release.
• Maintain reagents and equipment in the lab.
• Use good aseptic technique to process and test samples.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Biology, Microbiology, Chemistry, Animal Science or related field preferred. Will consider Associate's degree with relevant experience.
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant lab work (can be academic).
• Good problem solving and math skills.
