Job Objective/Summary: The Quality and Safety Director oversees regulatory compliance, patient safety, risk management and quality improvement. This position is responsible for planning, organizing, and directing risk management, quality, regulatory compliance and patient safety programs. This position will direct those systems necessary for identification, evaluation, monitoring, and reduction of risk exposures. The position will plan, organize and direct a quality improvement program to ensure clinical care provided by the organization is safe, equitable, efficient, and performs at or above national benchmarks. The position collaborates with employee and environmental safety officers to plan, organize, implement, and evaluate the effectiveness of the Safety Program. The position is responsible for facilitating effective change, both proactive and reactive, through the use of PDSA, Root Cause Analysis and Failure Modes and Effects Analysis. The position directs activities to ensure continued survey readiness for regulatory accreditation requirements. Strong critical thinking, effective analytical skills, and problem-solving abilities required. Ability to manage competing priorities, multi-task with results-oriented outcomes and work in a fast-paced environment. This position is required to utilize independent judgement.Job Education, Licenses/Certifications, Knowledge & Experience: Must hold, at minimum, an Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) at time of hire. Must be able to obtain a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) within 18 months of hire in order to remain in position. Must hold a valid and active license in good standing as an RN in the state of Arkansas-Completion of an accredited nursing program. Must be a Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) or obtain within one year of hire. Must be ACLS, PALS, and CPR Certified. At least five years of clinical experience. Strong knowledge of nursing principals, practices, and procedures. Benefits & Perks:
