Job DescriptionWe are seeking a driven individual with a passion for the packaging industry. One of our clients is looking to add a strong Quality Assurance and Safety Manager to their team. Responsibilities include:1) Manage, develop, motivate, and lead QA Personnel2) Implement methods to inspect, test and evaluate products and production equipment3) Ensure that products adhere to quality standards4) Train and manage staff in production practices and quality assessment of goods5) Monitor production and quality processes and troubleshoot any errors6) Track, record and maintain quality assurance data and generate reports, as needed7) Maintain all company SQF administrative requirements, safety programs, safety equipment inventory and perform periodic safety and quality inspections and lead the safety committee8) Recommend corrective action where nonconformance in packaging occurs, or where environmental health and safety hazards exist9) Interact with a variety of departments, conduct training in emergency response and hazardous material handling10) Monitor raw material and environmental compliance and maintain liaison with appropriate vendors and regulatory agenciesCritical Requirements1) A university degree is required.
