The Quality team supports the Uniform business at LION, primarily focused on garments for Law Enforcement and Fire professionals. In this role, you will maintain and monitor Fabric Quality Standards Program throughout the Company. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Label and file fabric color and quality standards from fabric mills. Send color targets to mills as required. Evaluate submitted mill lab dips via spectrophotometer analysis and do visual comparison under lighting to color targets with PD. Enter approved lab dip standard into iColor system under vendor, fabric, color for future reference. Communicate with fabric mills regarding results of lab dip, approvals or rejections. Assist in evaluation of contractor's defective fabric, inform vendor mill of problem, arrange to return defect samples to mill for evaluation and disposition. Evaluate garment components including trims, linings, zippers, Velcro, buttons, etc. to standards for approval/rejection. Test fabrics from new mills against existing fabrics - weight / construction. Assist with PP (Pre-Production) sample & Prototype reviews from new and existing factories. Reviews include, recording points of measure, construction details, and visual details. Maintain library of approved PP samples in Reading office. Maintain library of all trim approvals from factories. Other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree or experience equivalent in textiles or apparel. Highly flexible and able to react constructively and with a positive attitude to multiple demands, shifting priorities, change and unexpected events. Must be able to view normal range of colors without assistance. May be required at times to perform light lifting and carrying (30 lbs) and up to 8 hours a day standing/walking. Ability to work basic office equipment such as computer and telephone.
