Role Purpose Statement

The Quality Assurance Coordinator is responsible for safeguarding the quality and safety of LSG Sky Chefs' food products and services. This role involves implementing, monitoring, and maintaining robust quality systems to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements (e.g., FDA, USDA, HACCP) and customer specifications. By driving a culture of quality and food safety, the Coordinator contributes to delivering exceptional culinary experiences to airline passengers worldwide.

Main Accountabilities
  • Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive quality assurance programs and procedures in accordance with regulatory requirements (FDA, USDA, HACCP)
  • Conduct regular internal audits and inspections to assess compliance with quality and food safety standards
  • Investigate and resolve quality issues and non-conformances in a timely manner
  • Implement corrective and preventive actions to prevent recurrence of quality problems
  • Train employees on food safety and quality procedures
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date quality records and documentation
  • Collaborate with production, culinary, and operations teams to ensure quality is integrated into all processes
  • Stay informed about industry trends and regulatory changes
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or bachelor's degree in food science, culinary arts, or related field preferred.
  • Previous experience in quality assurance, food safety, or food production.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety regulations (FDA, USDA, HACCP).
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Physical Demands The Quality Assurance Coordinator may be required to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and lift up to 50 pounds. The work environment may include exposure to loud noise levels and varying temperatures.
