Overview:

The Fountainhead Group is looking for a Quality Assurance Inspector to join our FGI Family and support our quality department. The Quality Assurance Inspector is responsible for all first piece, incoming, in process and finished goods inspections as directed by the Q.C. Manager or Supervisor. Maintain the appropriate records to comply with the company and customer documentation requirements. The Quality Control Inspector is also responsible for the evaluation and documentation of all Customer Returns.

We are hiring for 1st and 2nd shifts!!

1st Shift: 7:00am - 3:30pm, Monday - Friday

2nd Shift: 3:00pm - 11:30pm PLUS a $0.50 Shift Differential, Monday - Friday (must be available to train on 1st shift)

Responsibilities:

What Youll Do:

The below describes a typical day as a member of our warehouse and production facilities, but additional responsibilities may be required by the facility manager.

  • Conduct First Article Inspection on all new products and/or revised products.
  • Inspection throughout the entire manufacturing process including inspection of raw materials, parts, sub-assemblies and finished goods.
  • Insuring appropriate action is taken when non-conforming material is found. Depending on the criticality of the defect this could include recommendations to production to stop the production line
  • Insuring all operators are processing or assembling material according to Work Orders and/or BOM. All discrepancies must be brought to the attention of the Supervisor, Assistant Q.C. Manager and Q.C. Manager
  • Documenting all performed inspections as well as all non-conforming product found during the inspection process.
  • Creating DMRs in Epicor for all non-conforming product.
  • Operating basic measuring devices like micrometers, calipers, height gages, etc.
  • Following all Q.C. procedures outlined in the High Level Procedure Book
  • Following all Quality Plans/Test Procedures outlined in the QAP / Test Book
  • Responsible for the examination, disposition and documentation of all Customer Returns.
  • Maintain good housekeeping and safety in all of the Quality Control work areas
  • Prompt completion of all tasks assigned by the Assistant Q.C. Manager, Q.C. Manager or Director of Quality
  • Second and third shift new hires must be able to train on first shift.
  • All other tasks so assigned.

Who You Are:

  • You are at least 18 years of age with a minimum of 2 years experience operating lift equipment in a warehouse setting
  • Must be computer literate. Knowledge of warehouse tablets and scanners a plus
  • Must be able to communicate, read and write in English
  • Must be able to lift 30 pounds and stand for long periods of time
  • Be a self-starter with strong attention to detail, safety and be able to prioritize and adapt to daily tasks
  • Must work well with others in a team setting and follow directions from supervisors
  • Must have a strong attendance record
