3rd Shift QA Operation Readiness Inspector: Lena, IL

Our client is seeking a QA Operation Readiness Inspector to join their team. In this role, you will ensure the highest hygiene and safety standards are met before production begins. As a key player in maintaining food safety and quality, you'll conduct pre-operation inspections and work closely with sanitation and production teams to ensure compliance with company and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities:

Conduct thorough pre-operation sanitation inspections on equipment, production areas, and facilities

Verify completion of sanitation tasks according to company procedures and regulatory requirements

Perform visual and microbial testing to identify cleanliness or contamination issues

Ensure proper storage, labeling, and use of cleaning and sanitizing chemicals

Maintain accurate records of inspections, findings, and corrective actions

Collaborate with sanitation and production teams to ensure effective handoffs

Report non-compliance and coordinate corrective actions with relevant teams

Assist in updating sanitation procedures by trending and communicating repeat findings

Provide leadership in coaching, education, and training for GMPs and food safety practices

Actively participate in HACCP/FSP teams to uphold food safety standards

Support the Sanitation Supervisor in overseeing sanitation processes and ensuring compliance

Conduct audits of the product, process, and systems to ensure adherence to company standards

Offer guidance on improving sanitation protocols and production readiness

Promote teamwork across departments to achieve quality and safety goals

Skills & Experience:

• Education: HSD or equivalent, required
• Experience: 3+ years of experience in manufacturing or sanitation leadership, required
• Knowledge: Sanitation systems, techniques, and procedures, required. Dairy, sensory, continuous improvement processes, and auditing experience, preferred.
• Software: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and computer-based applications, required
• Physical Demands: office and plant environments

Pay: $75,000 - $80,000/year

Type: 3rd Shift, Full-time, onsite (no hybrid or WFH)

Schedule: Sunday – Thursday, 9:00 p.m. – 6:00 a.m.
