As a key member of our large manufacturing facility, you will work closely with production staff, vendors, and customers to maintain consistent quality standards and drive continuous improvement.

About Us:

We are a stable, well-established company with over 40 years of success and a strong employee-focused culture. This position is open due to growth, and we pride ourselves on low turnover and a collaborative work environment.

Position Overview:

This is a hands-on role for a traditional Quality Control Manager who thrives on the production floor. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of manufacturing processes and experience implementing ISO 9001:2015 standards. You will manage quality systems, conduct root cause analyses, implement corrective and preventative actions, and oversee inspections of raw materials, purchased components, and finished products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System (QMS) and ensure compliance.
  • Conduct internal audits and identify areas for process improvement.
  • Perform inspections of materials and products at all production stages using precision tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers).
  • Investigate and address quality system issues, including root cause analysis and corrective/preventative action initiation.
  • Prepare Certificates of Conformance and Certificates of Analysis for customers.
  • Implement and monitor quality control processes to ensure consistent production standards.
  • Work directly on the production floor to observe processes, troubleshoot issues, and approve products that meet specifications.
  • Collaborate with customers and vendors on quality-related issues.
  • Maintain accurate reports and documentation on production issues and quality control metrics.
  • Promote a clean, organized, and safe working environment.

Qualifications:

  • Manufacturing Quality Control Experience is required. Candidates without a manufacturing background (e.g., chemistry, food industry, pharmaceuticals) will not be considered.
  • Strong understanding of ISO 9001:2015 standards and quality systems.
  • Hands-on experience performing inspections using measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers.
  • Proven ability to identify and resolve quality issues, implement process improvements, and ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Exceptional problem-solving, analytical, and critical-thinking skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively on the production floor, engaging with staff and processes.
  • Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug screening and criminal background check.

Why Join Us:

  • Opportunity to work with a growing, well-established company known for its excellent employee culture and low turnover.
  • Hands-on, engaging role with room to make a significant impact on product quality and process improvements.
  • Collaborative team environment in a dynamic manufacturing facility.
