Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Quality Manager to lead and enhance the quality operations for our manufacturing facility. We are looking for a proactive, solution-oriented individual who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.This is a key leadership role responsible for driving continuous improvement, managing customer relationships, and overseeing a team of quality professionals. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in process improvement, quality audits, and customer-focused quality management.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of 10 Quality Technicians, Supervisors, and Lab Technicians.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for our largest clients, ensuring the highest quality standards and customer satisfaction.
- Drive process improvement initiatives aimed at improving KPIs, reducing scrap, and optimizing cost efficiency.
- Conduct and manage quality audits ensuring compliance with GMP and industry standards.
- Lead training and development programs for the quality team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9000/9001 standards; ISO certification is a plus.
- Work with cross-functional teams to implement corrective actions and track the effectiveness of changes.
Key Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, or Engineering.
- Proven experience in manufacturing quality management (experience in extrusion lines or extruders is a plus).
- Experience in leading quality audits and process improvement projects.
- Strong customer-facing experience; able to manage relationships with key clients effectively.
- Familiarity with GMP and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Black Belt Certification in Lean Six Sigma or similar qualifications is a plus.
- ISO 9000/9001 certification or experience is a plus.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to develop and motivate a team.
