Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced and dedicated Quality Assurance Manager (QA Manager) to oversee the quality assurance department. This leadership role will focus on ensuring the quality and reliability of aluminum cans for soft drinks and other beverage products. The QA Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining robust testing processes to ensure product safety and compliance with industry regulations.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quality assurance, particularly within the beverage or packaging industry, along with experience managing a team and a keen eye for detail.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and manage processes to ensure aluminum cans and beverage products meet required specifications for quality, function, and reliability.
• Establish and define quality standards for aluminum cans to meet beverage industry standards for safety, durability, and compatibility.
• Communicate quality standards to the QA team, product development team, and relevant staff members.
• Coordinate and participate in product testing for aluminum cans, focusing on integrity, durability, and safety for beverage packaging.
• Review client, customer, and user feedback to ensure continuous product improvement and customer satisfaction.
• Maintain compliance with all applicable regulations, including food safety and beverage packaging guidelines at the federal, state, and local levels.
• Manage resources effectively to ensure a productive and efficient operation.
• Oversee the achievement of both short-term and long-term manufacturing and quality goals.
• Coordinate team duties, including preparing quality parameter reports and departmental task lists.
• Foster a proactive, team-oriented work environment to encourage continuous improvement.
• Identify opportunities to enhance quality and safety in aluminum can production.
• Develop and schedule training programs in coordination with the Human Resources Department.
• Perform additional duties as assigned and comply with company policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Science, Biology, Chemistry, Microbiology, Engineering, or a related field relevant to product development.
• 5+ years of experience in a related field, preferably within the beverage or packaging industry, with a focus on aluminum can quality.
• Bilingual (English and Spanish) required.
• Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
• In-depth understanding of quality control processes and regulatory standards for packaging and food safety.
