Job Description :
Position Summary:Assists in the audit process for the agency from development through implementation; conducts investigations into compliance issues, incidents and allegations of abuse; supports and assists in training related to regulatory issues.Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for all activities involving quality assurance and compliance with applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Responsible for completing investigations into all classification of incidents and compliance issues
  • Responsible for internal auditing of all programs receiving Medicaid Services (to ensure compliance with Medicaid regulatory requirements).
  • Responsible for internal auditing of non-Medicaid services to ensure compliance with OPWDD, SED and other applicable oversight agencies. This includes: medication administration, medical appointments; Fire Safety and physical plant amongst others.
  • Provides special audit coverage for high-risk areas, suspected fraud and special projects as requested.
  • Act calmly and quickly in emergency situations.
  • Assist with clerical support, creating documents within Excel and Microsoft Word, creating and/or updating any documents as needed or any other duties assigned by manager.
  • All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications, Skills and Knowledge Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in area of specialty. Associates degree with appropriate experience may be considered
  • Two (2) to Five (5) years' minimum experience working in the field or a related area.
  • Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the field of developmental disabilities.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule.
  • Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.
  • Duties require professional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in or knowledge of using a variety of computer software and e-mail applications, especially Microsoft Excel, Access, Outlook and Word; have the aptitude to learn other computer software as necessary.
  • Meet the requirements to drive Springbrook vehicles as required.
