Job Description :
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Oversee laboratory tests, manufactured products, and plant samples in a timely and accurate manner so as to assure that Agri-Mark's quality standards are consistently met.
  • Keep accurate and complete records of all tests performed and report to management any results which do not meet quality standards.
  • Oversee preparation for certification of Cabot Manufacturing Plant Lab.
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct data review, compilation and report generation to assist Senior Management Food Quality and Food Safety initiatives.
  • Participate in annual SQF, FDA, USDA and State inspections and/or audits.
  • Oversee the Hold / Release program.
  • Initiate and complete mock recalls.
  • Complete multiple projects within deadlines while performing assigned lab duties.
  • Provide production support in areas of Quality Assurance.
  • Establish and maintain policy for documentation of all products.
  • Implement ongoing quality improvement processes working with interdepartmental teams.
  • Maintain product consistency throughout product cycle, to include the design, define and build phases through quality checkpoints and testing.
  • Anticipate program release problems and take corrective action, escalating as needed to resolve and achieve commitments.
RELATIVE EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a scientific field preferred and/or 2-5 years' experience in a food manufacturing / dairy environment.
  • Excellent understanding of microbiology and food science, with SQF or equivalent experience
  • Excellent computer skills to include Windows, Excel and Word.
  • Solid verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong leadership skills that inspire team confidence and respect, while motivating team members in a creative and effective manner.
  • Solid analytical and deductive reasoning skills, along with a focus on attention to detail.
  • Ability to interpret and implement regulatory rulings.
  • Ability to effectively work independently and/or in a team environment.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with implementation and administration of Quality Assurance metrics, such as defect profiles and performance to entry / exit criteria.
  • Excellent problem solving and interpersonal communication skills are a must. Previous project management experience is a plus.
  • Must have a desire for achieving excellence in customer satisfaction process, product quality, and reliability.
